So as it turns out, Armand's from the past.
He knows nothing of our separation or of Lestat's assembly with the Devil. Of Sybelle and Benji or his own martyr act thanks to a goddamn piece of clo-
...But he wouldn't be surprised by the first. Wasn't Armand the one who played the prophet? That we'd seperate, even grow to hate one another?
I don't hate him.
Do I lie to him and pretend we're form the same time? Or would it be better to disillusion him? Put truth into his prediction. Though the second choice would take more than a little convincing. What reason do you have to hide from me, Daniel?. What would I say? Got distracted by the shiny carousel. I'll keep my new senses in check next time, Boss.
What would you prefer to do, Danny? Want to pretend you're from the same time? Be his companion again- to laugh and be tactless as ever while you pretend to observe the world through newborn senses?
Or do I dodge the bullet and continue to avoid him?
Take it as it comes, maybe?

Tell me, if you suddenly returned home and remembered everything about this City, would you write a book about it? Even if everyone would call it fiction, and only you would see the words as reality. Because you lived it, saw it, heard it-
Or would you think you'd gone crazy? Instead, going off to chase shadow, or find some scrap of evidence to validate your sanity? That you'd been here, that this was all real and not some pretty picture in your head. Think about it.
I'm Daniel Molloy, by the way.

Date: 2008-10-08 05:50 am (UTC)It has been too long, Armand. Yet, on the other hand- it's only short measure of time for immortal, isn't it?
I'll come to him for now. Soon, though, I will have tell the truth.

But he'd play the part of a senseless, wide-eyed fledging-- as he had been. The one Armand expected.]

Do you need to feed before we go or anything else you need before we go down?

Date: 2008-10-09 02:58 am (UTC)Had Armand made the right choice for them both?
He reminded himself that second-guessing a fait accompli was futile at best and painful more often than not.
"You'll be surprised when I tell you more about how I found it." He started down the stairs into the subway, taking the path that Romeo had shown him the night before, then glanced over his shoulder to be sure that Daniel was following him.
